Crazy, I thought that was what collective bargaining meant--but literally, a legal monopoly , it's the first time I've heard outright that that's what collective bargaining literally means. If a union dies w/o a legal monopoly, it should die, it means it's not holding on to/doing/supporting/caring for the people it's supposed to properly.
No one states the outright meaning, I think, because people realize it's obviously questionable to force someone with a certain job interest to join a union. How strange that it's legal to hold a monopoly over who can and can't be hired.
