Anyway, we followed that up with Noah and the Ark - you know give the real reason for rainbows (they were "close"). Audrey wanted to keep reading after we finished Noah, and the next story in her kiddie Bible is God's promise of a son to Abraham and Sarah. So we read that one and talked about how God has made promises to us and He never breaks them.
The point of all of this, is that I still haven't found a teaching position (yet) so each spring and summer I fill out applications, call and "touch base", and hope someone will bite. It's been frustrating, and has really challenged my faith because I tend to take God's promise to provide for your needs and be impatient about timing - like good ol' Abe and Sarah. I see how God provides for my family on an on-going basis and am thankful, but get caught up in the job thing. It's not a small issue, but it's nice to be reminded sometimes that God takes care of the little stuff and He can get the big stuff too. I know something's out there for me, it's just hard waiting and trusting.

Holy cats, amen. You put me to shame.
I don't know what your schedule is like these days, but would you like to get together some time next week?
