Among the other news items (see below) I am now teaching part-time middle school history at Fox Valley Christian Academy in Neenah. It's been exciting and, of course, challenging at the same time. What's been the most interesting thing and sometimes most challenging is realizing I'm the professional teacher now - "the local expert" to quote my administrator/principal, and so what I want is what largely happens. Anyway. . . the picture of George Santayana is one I cobbled together, the quote from someone I read online at National Review Online, and it hangs on my door.
