Saved or Created

So the White House published a report about two weeks ago describing how the Stimulus, and President Obama by extension, has created or saved 3.6 million jobs. Do you think if I called the White House switchboard they might patch me through and Barack can "create" one for me? 'Cause there sure aren't any "real" jobs available. They're saying that for every job available, there are 6 people interested in that 1 job. If only it were that good. Try 240. For a one-year position. I didn't even get an interview and I have "experience", but as I'm starting to believe will be the case forever, not "enough".

Goodfellas - At this point I guess I'm subbing. I hold out hope for a job, but the pessimist/realist in me says nothing's coming my way. It's very hard to have any passion for the "game" anymore because I know the likely result even before I apply.

As I've ranted often to Jennie, an optimist is someone seeking a teaching job in their first year after graduating, a pessimist is that person the next year, and after two years they're a fatalist.

That being said, the new glimmer of hope on the horizon is a posting for Wrightstown. We'll see.
