Long-term sub

I am going to be a long-term sub at Hortonville High School. It's really exciting because it's an integrated English/History position - Honors English 9/Geography and Government 9, Honors English 10/American History, and then a couple sections of World History. I'm curious to see how the integrated classes go. It's a concept that has always intrigued me, what with the easy ability to discuss history and literature selections and concepts from the same time period.

Overall, the school year has been going really well for me. I've been very blessed to sub a lot at Neenah, had a long-term sub position there that I "fell" into in Special Ed. Odd as it sounds for a sub, I've been enjoying myself and have likely been more effective as a sub than I was three years ago. I'd chalk it up to having had my own classroom and being more realistic about students' behaviors, but also probably being more comfortable with myself, my role, etc.

Oh, I've also applied for a full-time position at Rosendale-Brandon Intermediate, hoping to get a call for an interview. Guess we'll see.
